This B&B is very well situated in a quiet but central residential area of Ayr. It is truly luxurious, with well-chosen and immaculately maintained furnishings and bedding. The owner-hosts are highly professional but also warmly welcoming (my suitcase was carried for me to and from my room). Attention is paid to every detail that will add to their guests' comfort. As an elderly guest I was delighted to see that there was safety lighting on the stairs and a socket for charging i-phones at bedside table height. The bed was very comfortable and the views from the adjustable bedroom windows looked out onto peaceful gardens. The guest tray had both kettle and coffee machine. My capacious room's large private bathroom had both a bath and a walk-in shower and underfloor heating. The cooked breakfast menu with a very wide choice of items was provided the evening before and fulfilled to perfection at the time requested, All the usual fruits, including berries, cereals and juices, were clearly fresh and neatly arranged. It is hard to think of any improvement, but perhaps an electric fan for Scotland's rare heatwaves? - Alison C
